Sudden Floaters With Headache

An abrupt onset of a huge floater blocking your vision is a common sign of your vitreous gel shrinking which happens as you age. The stress of this condition is enough to cause some people to develop a headache.

Having a detachment of the jelly like vitreous from the retina can cause you to see lights flicker in your eyes and big bugs "flying" in front of you. Looking at dark floaters in your vision becomes even more intense after staring at a light background such as a computer screen or iphone.

What looks like dark rain drops in your vision is what eye floaters can look like when the vitreous separates and condenses.
